Flavio Bonomi is a serial entrepreneur, technologist and industry visionary, who helped define a new computing paradigm – “Fog computing”. Before founding Nebbiolo Technologies, Flavio Bonomi was the founder and the Chief Technology Officer at IoXWorks, Inc, involved in consulting and advisory roles with a number of large corporations and startups in the field of IoT.
Prior to IoXWorks, Flavio was a Cisco Fellow, Vice President, and the Head of the Advanced Architecture and Research Organization at Cisco Systems, in San Jose, California. He was co-leading the vision and technology direction for Cisco’s Internet of Things initiative. Before joining Cisco in 1999, Flavio Bonomi was at AT&T Bell Labs, with architecture and research responsibilities, mostly relating to the evolution of the ATM technology, and then was Principal Architect at two Silicon Valley startups, ZeitNet and StratumOne.
He received an Electrical Engineering degree from Pavia University in Italy, and a Master’s and PhD in Electrical Engineering degrees in 1981 and 1985, respectively, from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.
Chandra is a serial entrepreneur and technologist with deep experience in networking technologies, high-end computer systems, microprocessors and supercomputers. Chandra co-founded StratumOne Communications that was later acquired by Cisco Systems. During his 12+ years at Cisco, he managed the development of line cards, ASICS & network processors that powered Cisco’s $10B+ routing and switching product lines. Prior to Cisco, he was a lead engineer that developed the first 4-way superscalar microprocessor at Silicon Graphics/MIPS Technologies. He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, New York.
Prior to founding Nebbiolo Technologies, Kannan was a Principal Engineer at Cisco Systems in the High End Router Group. He has 25+ years of experience in hardware system and ASIC design, CPU architecture and design, and software architecture and design at Cisco Systems, StratumOne, Zeitnet, Sun Microsystems and C-DOT, India. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai, India.
Prior to founding Nebbiolo Technologies, Pankaj was a Principal Engineer at Cisco Systems. He has extensive experience in networking technologies, software architecture, and distributed and open embedded systems with real time characteristics. Pankaj has a Master’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering from University of Texas, Austin, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Varanasi, India.
Prior to founding Nebbiolo Technologies, Palani Chinnakannan was a Principal Engineer at Cisco Systems. He was an architect in the Cloud and Virtualization group developing software for Cloud, NFV orchestration and SDN. He has 20+ years of experience in software architecture and development for embedded systems at Cisco, AT&T, Lucent, and Siemens. Palani holds a Master’s and Bachelor of Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai, India.
